Chinese week 🇨🇳 at Mystery Diners so we had to have a takeout! @lychee_glasgow has been a long time favourite of mine as I used to work in the area and am happy to say I was one of its first customers when it opened roughly 6 years ago. 😊 I truly consider it one of Glasgow’s little gems 💎 as it’s located in a notoriously difficult trading spot which has seen many come and go (more recently So La, barely lasted a year in this area). They have stood the test of time and it’s not hard to see why with the chef and owner becoming a tv star.<br />

The guy is super attentive, hands on and cares passionately about food and it transfers to every experience I have had with this venue. 👏🏻 The workers lunch was always my favourite, amazing value. I ordered the Chicken Satay every time so it was a must when we made our order through @ubereats_uk. I was intrigued by the Duck in Plum Sauce. Duck goes either way with me it’s either bloody brilliant or a fat mess! 🤣This I am pleased to say is one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. 😋 Minimal fat and beautiful tender meat. The plums were a gorgeous fruity addition. This dish is a must try!<br />

The OH had the spring rolls which he said was one of the best he had ever had and the Tofu Curry which was spicy and satisfying. 💓<br />

We are BIG BIG fans of this joint. Who’s queuing for KFC? Seriously this is a million times better 🤣 it’s all about getting seriously BUCKED! This is the best fried chicken so if you enjoy a bit of cock?🐓 this is most definitely for you 💯 Chicken Popcorn 🍿 ooh la la what a starter. Much better than KFC's trust me, I had that everyday for my lunch for long enough to know, this just beats it on every level. The batter used is crunchy and non greasy. I want a giant bucket option for this!<br />

Something has to be said about the sides in the fact that the Salt and Chilli Chips/Mac N Cheese are some of my fave in Glasgow. 😍 We hadn’t tried these Burgers before and they were juicy, crispy & very large!<br />

The x2 Buck Cherry’s were so refreshing 🍹 on a hot summers day ☀️ to wash it all down. Bucks Bar has become a staple brand in Glasgow, we love the people that run & work at both venues. Something has to be said about how well organised their collection service is, ran like clockwork. 5 stars all round!<br />

We received a Vegan Curry, Lamb Rogan Josh, Pilau Rice, Pakora, Poppadoms, Garlic & Peshwari Naan. We loved it and scranned the lot!<br />

Honestly some of the best pakora and naan I’ve ever had. The Lamb was juicy and tender. The Vegan 🌱 Curry was fresh and crunchy. These guys know the BEST way to make Indian Food!<br />

Vietnamese food is something that we love, our fave being the Hanoi Bike Shop 😍 we were pleased to see Non Viet appear on the limited selection @ubereats as we have been meaning to step in for a review for a while now.<br />
The delivery was prompt, food was warm, the only downside was that there was no option to order soft drinks 🤔 Also we really fancied the Deep Fried Ice Cream but that wasn’t available, understandable though as it might not travel well.<br />

For Starters we shared Chicken & Prawn Spring Rolls. These were to die for and so crunchy and the filling was so well balanced 😁 Much prefer this style to a Chinese Spring Roll. For my main I had the Caramelised Pork Belly and Egg with Jasmine Rice 🍜🍚 I found this very tasty although there was a little bit too much jelly fat on the Pork Belly for my taste, the meat itself was very tender.<br />
My other half had the Coconut Curry Chicken with potatoes, carrot and onion which was pleasant but felt it was a bit heavy on the rice.<br />

Named after the iconic WWII fighter plane, this place has the feel of a 40s era diner. The All Day Breakfasts at this place also punch on all cylinders. Spitfire is a place we have frequented over the years on a Sunday, when recovering from the night before 🥴🤣<br />

I have tried many things off the menu but return to my faithful! The “Lancaster Bomber”, simply a Full Breakfast with delicious cuts of Bacon 🥓,fair sized Lorne Sausage, well made fried Eggs 🍳 , Portobello Mushroom 🍄 , 🍅 and Spicy Black Pudding.<br />
Oh - and don’t forget the Sourdough Toast, hiding underneath. Deeeeeelish!<br />
It’s very well made, no grease to be found here, I would actually like to know how they cook their bacon as it’s one of the best in town!<br />
To wash all that down it’s tradition for me to also get the Karma Cola! I am actually addicted to this Cola, it’s warm & spicy blend really compliments the food on offer here.<br />
My partner wasn’t overly hungry so had the basic “Kingfisher” scrambled eggs on sourdough. Simple yet satisfying. Be sure to check Spitfire out if you like your coffee strong and dark; one of us loves there double espressos (bound to wake you up).<br />
They have some impressive home made baking so I have taken home some “Upside Down Pineapple Cake” how very Brie Van Der Camp 💁🏻♂️, I plan to eat it later and post an update in the story.<br />
