Last Saturday I met my friend for a brunch date ๐ฅฐ my fav thing to do these days! She recommended @kcalkitchen & I had never been so I thought it was time to pop my ๐ They just do walk ins and we got a table rather quickly ๐
This venue is based on all things health related. Counted calories & nutrition all worked out for you! Perfect place for a post workout meal ๐ชVegan/Veggie friendly too! We decided upon -

My friend adores the Salt & Chilli Chicken here ๐ Good portion too! The chicken is decent & full of flavour!
I really enjoyed my Protein Pancakes, they were light & fluffy! The Scrambled Egg & Candied Bacon with Maple Syrup was the perfect combo ๐ฅ๐ณ๐ฅ Spring Onion & Chia Seeds added a quirky twist to the dish ๐ The smoothie was just the right amount of juicy goodness to wash it down ๐๐๐ yum!
I found the service on this occassion to be a little rushed, it was rather run-of-the-mill, lacking that personal touch. I'd definitely go back to Kcal Kitchen to explore more of the menu ๐
P.s. The neon sign is class, kind of want it for my bedroom ๐๐

A couple of Saturdays ago, Miss Diner had the pleasure of visiting @dakotahotel_eur for the first time ๐
I have heard a lot about the food at the Dakota so I was so excited to try it! The setting is beautiful & elegant. First class vibin' ๐๐คฉ
To start I had the Crispy Duck Salad (no pic as I was too hungry ๐) it was delish! I don't usually go for duck but I really enjoyed it!
For my main I had the King of all steaks ๐ Fillet Steak (Medium/Rare, only way to fly folks ๐) with Peppercorn Sauce & Fries. We ordered two sides aswel, Honey Roast Carrots & Sticky Cauliflower. The steak was INCREDIBLE ๐คค๐คค cooked to perfection & so so tender.. Aw I could eat it again right now! Juicy meat drenched in that creamy peppercorn sauce ๐ good portion of fries & those sides were fab too!
All washed down with sweet Mocktails.. BRING BACK THE BEV STURGEON ๐๐คฃ

Our day in Dennistoun, the 8th most coolest place to live in the world ๐คฃ was a couple weeks back. We parted ways to review two cafes, they call us โDouble Troubleโ ๐๐คฃ
I believe I stumbled across a real diamond ๐ in the rough. @rawnchydesserts was recommended by one of our followers and I wish I had been before this date. ๐ฏ
They have an outstanding brunch menu with healthy, vegan ๐ฑand most importantly tasty options! ๐
I opted for the Spooky black pancakes ๐ป dripping with cherry compote, raspberry coulis, creme anglais, Oreo crumb and fresh berries. This was amazing! So chocolatey! I love how they totally captured the spirit of Halloween ๐
My other half had the Banana ๐ Sourdough Toast with maple syrup! Would you look at that pic? COME ON! Taste & presentation- outstanding!
We arrived at peak Brunch time on a Sunday and with only cafes open just now, it was fully booked. We were kindly offered a table outside and the sun โ๏ธ was out so that worked perfectly. Inside, it is really super cutesy with some quirky decor and it feels very cosy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and very friendly.
They do offer dairy milk for coffees which I was pleased about to have in my โLavender Latteโ. This was dreamy! The flavour was subtle and not overly fragrant! Definitely worth a try!
I have seen they have just started a โCharcoal Latteโ which I am intrigued to try for my next visit which wonโt be long as i am now a huge fan of here! Top marks!

Planning a long overdue catch up with a friend, I went on the hunt for a new brunch spot & stumbled across Willow Grove Coffee โ I had a look at their insta & the food looked pretty decent so decided to book a table. I read a bit about the story behind the cafe, which I enjoyed reading. The decor is quite quirky & was inspired by the owner's travels which I found rather interesting. It gives the venue some character.
At the moment, they only have one table inside & one outside due to social distancing.

White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake Waffle
Eggs on Toast
The Drinks -
Iced Latte with Soya Milk & a Mocha
My friend had the eggs on toast. Which was literally just that. Just poached eggs on plain sourdough toast. We were expecting the dish to have a bit more to it, like a garnish or a sauce etc.. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Miss Diner had the White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake Waffle. I chose this as it looked so good in the pictures. Taste wise, it just didn't hit the spot in all honesty. The waffle was rather soft & doughy. The flavours of the chocolate & cheesecake just weren't coming through for me.
We love a good brunch here at Mystery Diners, we were just slightly disappointed with this experience. Loved the look of this place & would definitely return with Mr Diner to try something different ๐ @willowgrovecoffee

The Ramen bowls are massive ๐ฎ decent sized portion which we like ๐๐ Miss Diner had the Beef Tataki Ramen & it was to die for! The broth was creamy but had a slight chilli kick to it๐ฅThe beef was tender & the egg was top notch! The Takoyaki was absolutely out of this world ๐ This dish is made with octopus which is then deep fried & it came highly recommended! All the food was made fresh to order & damn tasty ๐
We all thoroughly enjoyed our food & can't wait to try more dishes! At this time Maki Ramen are doing takeaways & deliveries ๐ฅก๐๐
