The event is back after a two-year break on Sunday 20 November 2022!

Glasgow's Christmas Lights Switch-On is returning after a two-year hiatus, and organisers Glasgow Loves Christmas have just unveiled a jam-packed line-up of entertainment to thrill the spectators.

This year's live entertainment will include singers, actors, and comedy acts fronted by Scottish music artist Callum Beattie and hosted by Clyde 1 hosts George Bowie and Cassi Gillespie.

The perfect way to start off Glasgow's seasonal joy.

For those who already have tickets the schedule will be as follows:

16.30 – gates open - live entertainment, stage and screen show.
18.30 – gates close - strictly no entry after 18.30.
19.00 – switch on and fireworks display.

The Little Mix Magic tribute group kicks off the festivities at 5.00 pm, followed by performances by the 20-piece Berrie Big Band and Soul Nation Choir, with an audience sing-along and comedy interlude wedged in between.

Even Santa will be making a stop.

There is also going to be a Christmas Fair!

St Enoch Square has a Christmas fair from November 18 to January 3. If thrill rides are your thing, St Enoch Square is the place to be this holiday season with The Blizzard, an immersive experience where riders soar through the skies at speeds of up to 70mph. Climb on Santa's runaway train, jump on the candy cane bungee trampolines, and pose for photographs in Santa's snow globe with family and friends!

Indulge yourself with a festive foody treat – choose from luxury hot chocolates, delicious crepes and wraps, Bratwurst, and don’t forget to toast

Also, the Christmas Fair @ George Square and its Ice Rink will open from Thursday 1 December on the days and times below:

Monday to Friday – 10.00 am-10.00 pm, last skating session at 9.00 pm – except for Thursday 1 December (noon-10.00pm); and Monday 26 December (noon-10.00pm).
