Paesano Pizza has become a huge staple part of Glasgow culture. With queues out the door on even a quieter day, it has become very popular with students and the younger market.
This being our second visit, we came before we started our blog. The key to their success is simple - no fuss, no frills. With only 8 options of Pizza to choose from and rather obscure side options of just salad and Anti pasti style vegetables. No fries, breads or Pastas. (You will have to visit the new Sugo to experience that) They are delivering delicious, Italian, wood fired pizza. The dough is to die for. One of us who is not a lover of Pizza Crust even demolished the lot. I opted for the Fennell Sausage, Sugo option and my partner had the Capers (yes that’s right a fish pizza). The toppings were nice and fresh. I would prefer a spicy chicken or dare I say it Hawaiian option 🤣 and think they could introduce a few more toppings to appeal to an even wider audience. Also the drinks menu is just limited to wine and soft drinks which seems to disappoint as people to either side of us were requesting ciders and cocktails.
It’s obvious that the simplicity is what makes this place work though and allows for a quick turn around. Service was nice but lacking in any personal touch and for £8 per pizza this large & tasty it really is great value. Go and try it for yourself, it certainly won’t break the bank. @paesanopizzaglasgow #instadaily #instafood #foodporn #glasgow #live #reviews #critics #pizza #pizza4days #mystery #diners #musttry #greatvalue #woodfired #popular #scotland #foodies
