Quack quack ladies & gents.. The Mystery Diners found themselves at Duck Bay after a lovely boat tour around Loch Lomond ā›µšŸ¦†
With beautiful views of the water, this restaurant is the perfect place to come for a bite to eat while visiting Loch Lomond. It's Christmas time & Duck Bay is draped in lights & festive decorations! As you walk in you are met with a lovely, cosy atmosphere. The waiter took us over to our table where we ordered some drinks.

To start, Sizzling Prawns which came out with bread that was a little burnt and only 6 prawns in the dish. I did find it to be tasty but yes could have done with a few more prawns for the asking price. The sauce was sweet and spicy which was nice for dunking the bread. For my main I had Chicken Fajitas, which was described as the best dish on the menu by the waiter and it didn’t disappoint. The chicken was so tender & juicy. The toppings were the usual suspects creme fraiche, guacamole, salsa and cheese. A very generous portion! One of us only got 3 tortilla wraps and the other 6 which was easily rectified but consistency is key šŸ‘Œ
Diner 2 had Macaroni Cheese Au Gratin with Bacon bits & Garlic Bread. This wasn't overly sickening which a lot of macaronis can be. I failed to understand the 'Au Gratin' part of the dish, although I'm not sure if that was the rather well done cheese on top. The bacon added a good meaty flavour.

Diner 3 had a starter of Duck Liver pate. I thought this dish was tasty & light. For the main I had Steak & Sausage Pie, served with veg & potatoes. This was rather average in my opinion! The presentation was rather awful.

Lastly, diner 4 had a Prawn cocktail to start. Lovely with lots of prawns, but lacking in sauce. I enjoyed the Chicken Fajitas as my main also, yum!

Overall, I think Duck Bay Marina is a lovely place to go visually. The setting is beautiful by the water. The food isn't anything to write home about. The chicken fajitas I would say was the winning dish. Value isn't great & service was lacking a personal touch. I would return when in Loch Lomond to see the sights & try something new! @duckbaymarina
